MediCard Foundation celebrated its 5th Founding anniversary last February 1, 2017 at KidZania Manila in BGC, Taguig together with the 40 Honor Grade School Pupils (Top 10 of Grades 3 to 6) of Tibagan Elementary School, East Rembo, Makati City.

These smart kids were duly endorsed by their school head Riza Formilleza and teachers Mercy Villamin, Liza Cortel and Paul Carable who also accompanied them during the tour.

KidZania is an indoor entertainment center that allows children to work in adult jobs and earn currency. It houses more than 55 establishments most of which are sponsored by real brands with over 70 role play activities. The kids were able to perform jobs and were paid for teir work such as firemen, stylist, radio jockey, surgeon, etc. Other kids paid to get service in a university, culinary school, department store, driving school, etc.

The MFI team is led by its President Luis Montoya and Vice President Nixie Montoya-Yap together with trustee Freda Bongalon, executive director Voltaire Victoria, advocate members Kate Joaquin and Meg de Galicia, program supervisor Bryan Vergara and program assistant Cris Ambrosio.

Special thanks to KidZania for the worthwhile learning experience and for granting big discount to MFI.

“The Most Precious Gift”

Medicard Foundation and Central United Methodist Church Youth Fellowship jointly conducted a Christmas Gift-Giving Project dubbed as “The Most Precious Gift” for the 50 kids of Precious Heritage Children’s Home in Antipolo last December 21, 2016. The MFI Team is led by its executive director Voltaire Victoria while the CUMYF Group is led by their Youth Pastor Marvin Bunagan and Youth Fellowship President Felix Arceo.

38 girls and 12 boys aged 4 to 16 enjoyed the fun games, story telling, group singing and entertainment prepared by the Youth volunteers. This was followed by a lunch treat and gift-giving of clothes, toys and toiletries from MFI and CUMF to all children. MediCard Foundation also donated two long foldable dining tables to the orphanage.

Precious heritage is a DSWD-accredited facility for the orphaned, abandoned, malnourished and neglected children and is currently being managed by Pastor Joel Santos.
