MFI supports Family Fellowship Day

As a pre-Valentine gift-giving activity under its Children & Senior Response (CSR) Programs, MediCard Foundation participated and supported the "Family Fellowship Day" organized by Central United Methodist Church Family Ministry for the 35 Families (of different religions) from Intramuros and Pandacan, Manila last February 6, 2016. The event also served as CUMC’s kick-off activity for its 117th founding year. The children and their parents sang praise and worship songs, joined the challenging yet fun-filled games prepared by the Youth Fellowship, and were treated with gift bags from MediCard Foundation and lunch meal from the CUMC Family Ministry.

The MFI Team is led by its executive director Voltaire Victoria together with Joy Sitjar, Bryan Vergara, Jerry Esteves, Jenny Briola and Patrick Alcantara. The Central UMC Team is headed by its administrative pastor Rev. Ruby-Nell Estrella and council chairperson Josie Pamintuan together with Rev. Menre Mendillo, Rev. Fe Jacinto, Rev. Jerry Mangawang, Grace Garduque, Noel Panganiban, Mara Panganiban, Noimie Aquino and Lemuel Quimpo.

MFI joins Red Cross’ Million Volunteer Run 3

As part of its Works Of Wellness (WOW) programs, MediCard Foundation participated at the "Million Volunteer Run 3" of the Philippine Red Cross in Bonifacio Global City last February 6, 2016. Special thanks to the MediCard Customer Management Group (CMG) for sponsoring 50 Runners to this fund-raising event as their department’s post-Christmas/pre-Valentine's outreach project thru MFI. The MediCard Team was led by MFI executive director Voltaire Victoria, CMG assistant manager Verleth Santos and CMG team leader Eric Angue.

“MediCard Foundation Turns 4”

MediCard Foundation, established on February 1, 2012, happily celebrated its 4th Birthday by holding a Thanksgiving Outreach at the Manila Boystown Complex in Parang, City of Marikina last January 30, 2016.

315 orphaned, abandoned and rescued street children composed of 210 boys and 105 girls were provided with lunch meal after they enjoyed and participated at the magic show, fun games and fellowship that the MediCard Foundation Team has prepared. Each child also received a morning snack pack and a gift bag containing baby powder, bath soap, cologne, hair gel, toothbrush, toothpaste, face towel and twisted fan. MFI also donated boxes of medicines, alcohol, cleaning disinfectants, detergent bars, and pales of detergent powders for common use of the institution.

MediCaravan in Goa, Camarines Sur (1,005 Patients Served)

MediCard Foundation conducted a Medical, Optical and Dental Mission in Goa, Camarines Sur last January 15, 2016 which was co-sponsored by Doc Ed Remo and Atty. Bon Alarcon. A total of 1,005 patients were served: 565 medical, 240 optical and 200 dental. Salute and appreciation to the Medical Team and to all volunteers. Big thanks also to Mr. Raul and Dra. Agnes Vargas, to Mr. Marlo and Dra. Thelma Magsombol, to Mr. Boyet Obias, and to all who have made this joint outreach possible.
