Last November 29, 2012, MediCard Foundation met with several kids together with their parents during their follow up consultation at MediCard Makati Clinic in King's Court Building after the successful FREE repair of their cleft lips (bingot) and cleft palates (ngongo).  To date, 150 kids have already benefited from MediCard’s year-round “Oplan Ngiti” program in partnership with Smile Train, the world’s leading cleft charity with hundreds of programs in more than 80 countries.  If you have an indigent relative, neighbor or friend needing this type of operation, please call or refer them to MediCard Foundation thru telephone numbers 894-5555 to 56, or thru mobile number 0908-8864722.

PGHMFI’s 15th Anniversary & Donor’s Appreciation Night

The Philippine General Hospital Medical Foundation, Inc. (PGHMFI) has presented a "Certificate of Appreciation" to MediCard Foundation as one of its valued and active donors last November 28, 2012 in a formal ceremony held at the Tower Club in Makati City.  MediCard Foundation was represented by its executive director Voltaire Victoria in accepting the award.  PGH Director Dr. Jose Gonzales together with PGHMFI president Dr. Gregorio Alvior, vice president Dr. Telesforo Gana, corporate secretary Madame Lolita Escobar-Mirpuri and executive director Ms. Milen Ruiz were all gracious in presenting the citation to MediCard.

“Maagang Pasko sa Paco”

Last November 23, 2012, MediCard Foundation, led by its president Mr. Luis Montoya, conducted an early Christmas Gift-Giving activity for the deserving underprivileged Grade School Pupils of Paco, Manila endorsed by the Families and Children for Empowerment and Development Foundation (FCED).  Everybody enjoyed the showcase of talents presented by the pupils.  The kids also enjoyed the games, the snacks and the new set of backpacks, school supplies, umbrellas and lunchbox sets that they all received as early Christmas presents from MediCard Foundation.

MediCaravan in Capas with Rotary Club of Broadway San Juan

"MediCaravan Para sa Bayan", MediCard Foundation’s monthly medical mission program, has attended to almost 300 indigenous and community people in Barangay Sta. Juliana, Capas, Tarlac last November 9, 2012 in partnership with the Rotary Club of Broadway San Juan.  The partnership also conducted an educational session to more than 100 grade school pupils of the barangay led by Ms. Rina Tiangco-Abe.

Salute and many thanks to the MediCard Medical Team headed by clinic manager Ms. Nini Edades and clinic supervisors Vangie Quimosing and Mia Boquiron for a job well done, to the Rotary Club of Broadway San Juan led by its president Ms. Chezka Brinas for sponsoring the medicines and snacks for kids, to Ms. Aletha Trasporte of Carl Duisberg Association of the Philippines for distributing hundreds of pencils, to Dr. Pepz Cunanan of Bahay Kubo - PAGASA for distributing vegetable seeds, to the Immanuel Bible School for the endorsement, and to the Barangay Sta. Juliana Council for the venue, logistics and security.
