“KKK” at Tahanan ni Maria

August 10, 2012 was a very fulfilling day for MediCard people when they shared the fun and joy of gift-giving with the elders of “Tahanan ni Maria” Home for the Aged in Barangay Lantic, Carmona, Cavite.  The outreach, dubbed as “Kumustahan, Kantahan at Kainan (KKK) kina Lolo at Lola” has also showcased the best talents from the 30 Lolas and 12 Lolos of Tahanan when most of them sang their unforgettable love songs while others showed their best moves by rendering dance numbers.  MediCard managers also danced with the participative grannies who wanted to stretch their bodies.  A joint luncheon was then enjoyed by the elders, volunteers and MediCard representatives.

Tahanan was co-founded by Rev. Fr. Norberto “Bitoy” Macalintal and Sister Betty Lopez de Leon in 1996.  Sister Dory Bantatua, one of Sister Betty’s children, is the present Center Head and still continuing this noble mission together with her siblings and the relatives of Father Bitoy.
